Septuagenarian Jayeeta Mitra, a resident of an insecure building on MG Road and her domestic help Santosh Malakar were waiting impatiently for 15 dogs, all of whom were on Thursday sent to three different NGOs after they, along with Mitra, were rescued by a team of fire services department, following collapse of a staircase of a building that connects to their floor. They were rescued in a 40-minute operation on Thursday afternoon.
